The Penguins are on the road to take on the Devils in Newark tonight. The Pens ended a five-game losing streak with a 4-0 win over the Coyotes on Saturday. At 7-5-and-3 they are tied for fourth in the Metropolitan Division with 17 points. New Jersey is alone in last place with 13 points, but they return home after a seven-game road trip in which they lost six, with their lone victory a 5-1 win over the Penguins last Monday. At practice yesterday, Coach Mike Sullivan reunited his longtime top power play unit, putting Sidney Crosby, Phil Kessel, Patric Hornqvist up front and Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang on the blue line. Center Derick Brassard did not practice with the team but skated on his own. Sullivan said he may rejoin the team very soon. Brassard has been out with a lower body injury since October 25th.
