A Blairsville man was arrested Sunday morning following an incident at the Sheetz along East Market Street.
Blairsville Borough Police say they were summoned to the store around 11:20 a.m. for a domestic disturbance and found that 22-year-old Jordan Kinney had an argument with his girlfriend and allegedly knocked her down, then punched and kicked her before fleeing in a car.
Police found Kinney in a parking lot along Water Street and ordered him to get out of the vehicle. Kinney then fled on foot, initiating a chase, but officers caught up to him a short time later.
Kinney was taken to Indiana County Jail and charges with simple assault, evading arrest or detention by foot, harassment, and a summary traffic violation. He was arraigned before Magisterial Judge Christopher Welch in lieu of $500 bond.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 5th.
