State police have provided details about a crash that happened early yesterday morning in Green Township.
Troopers were called out to Rice Road at 12:02 AM for the reported one-vehicle crash. 23-year-old Brady Smyers of Marion Center was driving on Rice Road just south of Purchase Line Road when it went off the east side of the roadway for an unknown reason. The car came back on the roadway, but then went off the East side a second time before crossing over onto Rice Road and going off the west side of the road, hitting a tree and rolling onto its roof.
It’s not known if Smyers was injured, but he was not taken to the hospital. Police say that he will be cited for speeding.
