The 45th annual Teddy Bear Fund Drive collection week is underway at the 700 Shop in Downtown Indiana, and after just two days, the local community has shown strong support.
More than $2,300 was raised that will go towards funding child health care at IRMC and the free care fund for Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh between Monday and Tuesday. Along with the support from various donors, volunteers donated their time to help raise the money. Among them was Indiana Mayor Bill Simmons, who talked about why he volunteers several hours each year to the Teddy Bear Fund Drive.
Collection efforts continue throughout the rest of the week at the 700 Shop. Commemorative teddy bears are also available while supplies last for a minimum donation of $15. Your Hometown Radio Stations will also broadcast live from the 700 Shop every day from 8 AM to 5 PM.
If you’re unable to donate in person, you can mail in your contribution to the address below. Any checks should be made out to Teddy Bear Fund Drive.
