The Indiana County Endowment board has announced that they are accepting applications for consideration in March for both their general endowment funds and for the Evans Health Care Fund.
The general endowment funds were established in 1990 and are to support worthy improvements to the community. Grants are given quarterly in the areas of education, arts, environment, health and human services, recreation, civic and heritage. Two of the early patrons of these awards were Jimmy Stewart and his wife, Gloria.
The Evans Health Care Fund provides grants to health care projects and programs that will benefit residents in the Penns Manor, Purchase Line and/or Marion Center School Districts, Projects and programs will be those not normally or usually available through governmental agencies or nonprofit organizations, although the Fund might be used to increase awareness of and availability to such programs.
