The Homer-Center administration is continuing to look for a temporary solution to their air conditioning problems.
At last night’s meeting, Superintendent Ralph Cecere explained that the cooling system for the district is getting to the point where repairing it is no longer feasible. Cecere said that the high school is going to be without air conditioning for the spring months and for the start of the next school year, but they are working on temporary solutions.
He did say they are working with McClure Company on a more permanent solution on heating and cooling both buildings in the future and expect the problem to be solved by summer of 2025.
The board also approved the flexible instruction day program, as required by the state Department of Education. Board president Michael Bertig said that the flexible instruction days would only be used if all the snow days are used up.
