Officials with IUP have announced that the recent update to the Indiana campus’ Long-Range Facilities Master Plan is now available for review on the university’s website.
Some of the features in the latest update, which was approved by the IUP Council of Trustees in January, include the creation of two new greenspaces near the Oak Grove, which would be deemed “sister spaces.” Doug Kozma, Vice President and Campus Practice Director for SmithGroup, the company overseeing the project, said following January’s meeting that students were asking for different spaces on campus that are “informal” and allow for recreation.
Other features of the update include IUP’s Academic Future, reducing the campus footprint, student success and well-being, and linking the campus with Indiana Borough.
The update can be found on IUP’s website at iup.edu. It will go up for review at the Council of Trustees meeting on May 9th.
