Altoona went 16 days and 15 games between victories, but the Curve finally broke their losing streak yesterday, knocking off Harrisburg, 6-2. And they did it in an unusual way, pitching two of their top three starters on the same day. Anthony Solometo and Bubba Chandler each threw three shutout innings and Aaron Shackelford and Tsung-Che Cheng both had three hits, with Shackelford cracking his fourth home run and a triple.
The Curve will be off today and start a six-game set against Yankees affiliate Somerset tomorrow morning, with first pitch at 11 AM at PNG Field.
