The White Township Supervisors heard updates on several incoming businesses at their meeting Wednesday afternoon.
Sewer Engineer Dan Jageman said that sewer plans were sent to the Department of Environmental Protection for the Raising Cane’s restaurant, which would go in along Oakland Avenue; the VA Outpatient Clinic, which is set to go in at the intersection of IRMC Drive and South 6th Street; and for a subdivision for S&S&S Real Estate, which will go in along Shelly Drive. He said the DEP will review them over the next 90 days, but they could hear back within a month or month-and-a-half.
On a similar note, Code Enforcement Officer Jon Major debunked a rumor claiming the township “blocked” Panera Bread from going in across from Aldi Foods along Oakland Avenue. The final minor subdivision was reapproved in October 2022 and Major said they are waiting on the developer to take the next step forward.
In other business, Supervisors approved advertising the township’s solar ordinance. That is expected to go out for approval at their regular meeting June 12th.
