Indiana junior Greg Minnick announced his commitment to play baseball at Division I Texas Tech earlier this week.
Minnick, a 6-foot-2 right-handed pitcher, is 2-0 with a 1.99 ERA in six games this season with the Indians. He leads the team in strikeouts (64) and has topped 95 miles per hour on his fastball.
Last night in the first round of the WPIAL 4A playoffs, Minnick fanned 12 hitters over five shutout innings in the Indians’ 4-1 win over Central Valley.
Minnick reportedly had offers from Penn State, Pitt, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and Cincinnati.
