While Labor Day is traditionally a day off, there will be some road crews at work today in Center Township as a paving project gets underway today.
The paving project will include 12 streets in Lucernemines, including the area known as “the shaft”. Center Township officials are asking people to have vehicles moved back off the roads. Any vehicles left at the start of the construction project will be towed at the owner’s expense, and the township will not be responsible for any damage.
Local traffic will be permitted during the paving project.
