Four participants were in attendance for the opening ceremony, including Nick Karas from Josephine’s, Dr. Tory Dellafiora, Nick Moore of Walbeck Insurance and Jenn Van Wieren. A fifth participant, Ryan Wingrove, was not in attendance, and it was hinted that there may be more participants to be announced in the coming weeks.
Denise Jennings with the Evergreen After School Club says it’s important to support the club as the programs run off of donations. She also said they are bringing on some new programs next school year.
The goal of the participants is to raise as much money for the program as possible, with the top money earner having the honor of kissing a pig on the main stage at the Indiana County Fair on August 27th before band night activities start.
