Three bridge projects are scheduled to begin tomorrow in Indiana County. Meanwhile, PennDOT still has not released any information on a fourth bridge that was closed last month after an inspection turned up damage.
The Clarksburg Bridge replacement in Conemaugh Township is scheduled to get underway Monday, with Clarksburg Road closing until early November. The Yellow Creek Bridge replacement in White and Brush Valley townships will require the closure of Route 954 between Lucerne Road and Route 56 starting Monday and lasting until the end of September. And the Green Valley Bridge replacement in Young and Armstrong townships will close McIntyre Road between Old Route 56 and Rearick Road. That road should reopen by the end of July.
The Heshbon Bridge, on Route 259 between Brush Valley and Route 22 in West Wheatfield Township, remains closed after a damaged beam was found during an inspection on May 22nd. PennDOT said at the time it would work to complete the repairs and restore traffic as quickly as possible.
