A horse-drawn buggy crashed into the rear of a pickup truck that had stopped in the roadway on Route 954 late Friday night, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police in Punxsutawney.
Troopers say the collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. on November 14, 2025, in North Mahoning Township.
The report states that the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado stopped in the southbound lane after becoming upset that another motorist had allegedly run a stop sign moments earlier. While the truck remained in the lane, a horse-drawn buggy traveling behind it was unable to stop and struck the back of the vehicle. The buggy operator was not injured.
The pickup driver told police he had stopped in the middle of the road “to talk to the other operator” about the alleged violation. The buggy driver provided a statement confirming the events.
Police cited the truck driver for careless driving.
