The IUP basketball teams both enter the PSAC tournament with two straight losses, but it’s the postseason now, and they both have a chance to turn it around. For the men, the quest for a conference title begins tonight against Edinboro at the KCAC. The women will have a first-round bye and will play on Wednesday.
The IUP men and Edinboro have played twice this season and IUP won by 20 points each time. Dallis Dillard has averaged 24 points in the two wins, including a 30-point game with 12 rebounds at Edinboro on February 7th. Christian Moore averaged 20 points against the Fightin’ Scots.
Like IUP, Edinboro enters the postseason on a two-game losing streak.
IUP coach Joe Lombardi looks forward to a fresh start.
Coach Craig Carey’s Crimson Hawks women will play at 5:30 Wednesday night at the KCAC against the winner of tonight’s game between Millersville and East Stroudsburg.
You can listen to tonight’s game on 92.5 FM U92, and watch it on Renda Digital TV. Pregame airs at 6:40, with tipoff at 7.
