A man charged with sexually assaulting a minor in 2025 is due in court today for a preliminary hearing.
Last week, the Indiana County District Attorney’s Office announced that charges were filed against 39-year-old Jonathan McKendrick of Clune. The charges go back to May of 2025 when state troopers received a Safe2Say Report concerning the suspected abuse. The investigation included both forensic evidence and interviews with the victim and others who had knowledge of the events.
McKendrick is charged with Statutory Sexual Assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of someone under 16, sexual assault, indecent assault and six other crimes. He has been free on $50,000 bond.
