At the NFL owners’ meetings in Arizona yesterday, Steelers general manager Omar Khan gave an update on tackle Broderick Jones, who is recovering from neck surgery. Khan said Jones is “in a good place and ready to work hard and do whatever he can to be ready to go.”
Jones missed the last five games and the Steelers’ lone playoff game last season after suffering the injury.
Also at the meetings, coach Mike McCarthy said he and quarterback Aaron Rodgers are in constant communication, two or three times a week, and he said Rodgers is “really engaged”, even though he is not signed and has not committed to playing in 2026. McCarthy also said the Steelers are very interested in drafting a quarterback this year, saying he is “hopeful there will be a quarterback there at the right time…”
