The number of brush fires in Indiana County is now up to 20 after activity reported yesterday by Indiana County 911.
The first was at 2:30 PM at a location on Malloy Hollow Road in Pine Township. Pine Township and Cherryhill Township were initially dispatched to the scene. Clymer fire department was called in to assist at 2:34 PM with Nicktown fire department was dispatched ten minutes later.
The final call of the day came at 2:49 along Canoe Ridge Road in Canoe Township. Rossiter fire department was ordered to the scene.
On top of that, there was a call at 10:32 yesterday morning for Iselin firefighters who were sent to Plumcreek Township in Armstrong Township for a brush fire on State Route 2021.
Details on these brush fires have not been released.
