UPDATE: Route 119 has reopened after a crash involving a car and a garbage truck this morning that injured one person.
Indiana County 911 reported the crash at 9:07 AM. Marion Center and Plumville Firefighters along with Citizen’s Ambulance and State Police were sent to the scene. Marion Center Fire Officials said the driver of a car may have fallen asleep at the wheel and it drifted into the opposite lane and hit a garbage truck nearly head-on. The car rolled over after impact.
The driver of the garbage truck was not hurt, but the car driver was taken to IRMC by Citizen’s Ambulance for treatment of injuries. First responders were on the scene for over two hours for investigation and cleanup efforts.

A portion of Route 119 in Rayne Township is reportedly closed after a car crash this morning.
Indiana County 911 reported the crash at 9:07 AM. An eyewitness says a car rolled over on the northbound side of 119 near the Rayne Drop Inn. He also reports that the road is closed in both directions. Marion Center and Plumville Firefighters along with Citizen’s Ambulance and State Police were sent to the scene.
