The road and bridge construction schedule this week includes the start of a bridge replacement project in Young Township.
The replacement of the bridge carrying Rearick Road over Blackleggs Creek begins on Monday with the closure of Rearick Road between Wertz Road and Shrokman Road.
Also tomorrow, the replacement of the Broadhead Run Bridge in Canoe Township gets underway. The prep work will last from April 6th until July 7th, when Locust Lane will close between Wright Road and Oberlin Hill Road through September 29th. BROADHEAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT DETOUR:
To detour from the northern end of the structure, drivers will travel north on Locust Lane for 3.2 miles. Turn left onto Watering Trough Road. Follow Watering Trough Road for 2 miles. Turn left onto Leisure Road. Follow Leisure Road for 3.1 miles. Continue straight onto East Creek Road for 0.4 miles. Turn left at the fork in the road onto Locust Lane. Follow Locust Lane for 1 mile to reach the southern end of the structure. Those travelling from the southern side of the structure will reverse these directions.
Other work this week includes the ongoing repairs to the bridge at South 6th Street and Grant Street in Indiana Borough, and the intersection improvement project on Indian Springs Road in White Township.
