A preliminary haring is scheduled today for 45-year-old Jamie Swanger of Indiana, who is charged with burglary, criminal trespass and other crimes related to a break-in on April 17th.
Police were sent out to Exotic Cigar on Philadelphia Street in Indiana Borough at 4:20 that morning when witnesses reported gunshots fired into the front door. Investigators say Swanger reportedly crawled through the shattered glass, took several items and fled on foot. They found him a few blocks away with injuries consistent with broken glass and he was found with items reportedly taken from the store. No one was in the store at the time and no injuries were reported. A handgun was recovered at the scene.
Swanger has been in Indiana County Jail since his arrest in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.
