The Pirates gave usually-reliable starter Mitch Keller a big lead after two innings, but he had his worst outing of the season, surrendering the six-run margin to the Twins. Fortunately, Jake Mangum led the way in a roller coaster ride of a game and the Bucs pulled out a win.

The Pirates and Twins conclude the three-game series with the Bucs looking for a sweep. It’s a matchup of right-handers, with the Pirates sending emerging star Braxton Ashcraft (4-2, 2.75 ERA) to the mound against the Twins’ Zebby Matthews (1-2, 2.37 ERA). Out since May 16th with an injured quad, first baseman/outfielder Ryan O’Hearn is expected to be activated from the injured list and is expected to play today. Should O’Hearn play, it would be a quick recovery. He was initially expected to miss as many as four weeks, but could be back on the field in two.
