Fire crews from Indiana, Blairsville and Black Lick were busy yesterday with multiple calls.
Indiana’s day started yesterday at 7:53 for the first of two vehicle crashes, this one on Parkwood Road in Armstrong Township. At 10:35, a crash was reported on Oakland Avenue.
Indiana firefighters were then sent out at 11:51 AM to a structure fire on Gorman Avenue in White Township. Scanner reports said that a structure was hit by lightning during the storms that rolled through the area.
Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments would be sent out at 12:41 PM along with state police for a reported two-vehicle crash on Old William Penn Highway. Black Lick fire officials said the crash was near the intersection of Old William Penn and Vine Street. No injuries were reported in the collision.
Both fire departments were called out twice more. One call for an automatic fire alarm activation on Heybert Drive in Burrell Township at 3:11 PM and would be joined by Coral-Graceton fire department. The other was for a reported brush fire on Grange Road in Black Lick Township. Aultman firefighters were also sent to the scene.
