Indiana County 911 sent the Homer City and Aultman fire departments, Citizen’s Ambulance and State Police to a part of Fitzgerald Road at 8:30 PM. When crews arrived, they found a vehicle over an embankment and someone was still in the vehicle. Officals with the Homer City fire department said the unidentified victim was trapped and could not remove him without causing further injury, so a decision was made to cut the entire side of the car away to get access to the victim.
That person was taken to IRMC and later flown to a trauma center for further treatment.
