First responders were sent to Idlewild and Soakzone to rescue people trapped on the Wild Mouse roller coaster.
The call went out Tuesday afternoon to the park in Ligonier Township when three riders were stopped in one of the sharp level turns at the highest point of the coaster. Firefighters joined Mutual Aid EMT’s and Ligonier Valley police to perform a high-rope rescue to get three people off the ride. A representative with Herschend Entertainment, the park’s owners, said the car stopped unexpectedly. The ride will be temporarily closed for inspection.
No specific injuries were reported.
