A Homer City man has been sentenced to jail after pleading guilty to endangering the welfare of a child.
District Attorney Robert Manzi announced that 46-year-old Jeremy Penrose was sentenced to serve six months to nearly two years in the Indiana County Jail, followed by five years of probation. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim and complete a mental health evaluation.
The charges stem from an October 2025 incident when Pennsylvania State Police were called after a juvenile was seen walking unclothed near United High School. Investigators determined Penrose had become angry with the child, struck and shoved the juvenile, causing a cut, then removed the child’s clothing and forced the juvenile to leave the home in cold weather. The child walked to the area of the high school to seek help.
