Sentencing hearings were held yesterday in Indiana County Court. Among the hearings were two sentencings drug-related crimes.
Court documents showed 36-year-old Tyler J. Ballengee, who is listed as homeless, will serve four months to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail for a charge of possession of a controlled substance and one year of probation for a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. As part of that, probation and street time were revoked for a prior case of theft, evading arrest or detention on foot and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered to serve time in Indiana County Jail for one to two years, and another 12 months of probation.
Also sentenced yesterday was 39-year-old Brian Porter of Monongahela was ordered to serve a year of probation for a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
