Wednesday morning, the Indiana County Commissioners approved a contract amendment request for the Pathways Homeless Shelter project.
The county’s office of Planning and Development had requested $3.82 million from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development for the project in 2024. In the two years since, LuAnn Zak said that costs for the project have gone up.
The new request is for $4.47 million. The request has been approved by the DCED pending receipt of the formal paperwork.
In other business, commissioners applied for a PCoRP Loss Prevention Grant of $2,625. The money from CCAP will be used to replace the chairs in the Commissioners Public Meeting Room and to place chairs in the hall for the tax claim office. The chairs are over 50 years old and have been repaired many times over the years.
