What a night on the volleyball floor for Meegan Williams, the Homer-Center grad who’s an outside hitter for the Saint Vincent Bearcats. Last night she set the all-time school record for kills in a single match, with 28 against Bethany College. The previous record was 27, shared by three other players, and had stood for 34 years.
Williams hit .404 for the match, with only five errors on 57 attempts, and she made it a double-double with a team-high 15 digs. St. Vincent won the match in four sets (25-19, 25-16, 22-25, 25-20), improving to 3-7, 1-0 in the Presidents Athletic Conference.
Williams is a junior who was the PAC Newcomer of the Year two years ago and was All-PAC Second Team last year.
