Indiana County’s first responders were busy this morning with calls for service.
An Automatic Fire Alarm was reported at 8:25 this morning at Grace Manor on North 9th Street. Indiana Fire Association officials said that it was a false alarm attributed to a cooking mishap. A similar call at around the same time sent crews to Tres Amigos, but that call was also a false alarm as crews were working on the fire alarm system.
Pine and Cherryhill Township fire departments were sent out later in the morning for a location in the 16,000 block of Route 422 East. Pine Township fire officials said that it was a controlled burn at a sawmill site, and there was no emergency.
Around 11:00 AM, Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments were sent to a vehicle crash in the 2100 block of Route 22 East. Initial scanner reports said that a pickup truck with a trailer had rolled over, and debris was reported on the edge of the road.
