Today is Columbus Day, or Indigenous People’s Day, and as it is a federal holiday, there are some closures in effect.
This includes all federal, state and county government offices, including county courts and PennDOT Drivers License Centers. PA Liquor Stores normally open on a Monday are open today.
Many banks have closed their brick-and-mortar offices for the day, but services are available through ATMs, apps and websites. The U.S. Stock Markets are open for today but the U.S. bond market is closed.
There will be no regular mail delivery and post offices will be closed today. Packages on Priority Express mail will continue to be delivered. UPS and FedEx remain open today for normal pickup and delivery services.
