While first responders reported increased foot and vehicle traffic and some large gatherings on Saturday night and Sunday morning of IUP’s Homecoming weekend, none of the events reported got out of control.
From 7:00 AM on Saturday to 7:00 the following morning, Indiana Borough Police reported only three arrests. Two of them were non-IUP students, one charged with harassment and the other for public drunkenness. One IUP student was charged with DUI and a summary traffic offense. IUP police reported one non-student for public drunkenness and underage drinking while a student was charged with public intoxication. They also made two trespassing arrests: one for a non-IUP student and one for a student. State police also reported one arrest each for underage drinking, public intoxication and DUI.
The only change in plans was the Greek Life community clean up efforts, which were cancelled due to the inclement weather.
