Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. has released the name of the man who was killed in a crash Thursday afternoon.
Overman identified the victim as 56-year-old Robert David Schooley of Coral.
Officials say that the incident took place at 6:13 a.m. at the intersection of 119 and Lucerne Road, near the Sheetz in Center Township. Upon arrival, troopers learned that Schooley was going East across the highway on an electric bicycle, when a Ford F-350 driven by a 52-year-old man from New Alexandria, was going North on 119. For unknown reasons, Schooley went into the path of the truck and was killed.
Officials note that the driver of the truck did have a steady green signal at the time of the accident.
Overman has ruled the death accidental due to blunt force trauma.
