When you visited John Lefdahl, you never knew what you might see. It might be his collection of Civil War medical instruments or his many antiques and collectibles from his extensive travels that he enjoyed so much. Whatever it was, it showed his passion for life and his intense interest in people.
John passed away early Sunday at the age of 70.
A graduate of Marion Center High School and IUP, he also graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science when he decided to leave nursing, and in 1999 he opened his own funeral home, which features a beautiful church chapel. With his dedicated work ethic leading the way, the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home quickly became a very popular choice for families from throughout the region.
Friends will be received tomorrow at the Lefdahl funeral home, with a private service scheduled for Thursday. Full service details will be announced later today in our noon newscast and are also available in the obituary section of our website.
