Two people were sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court, including one who was caught trespassing in a scrap yard.
Court documents say 39-year-old Jesse R. Wagner of Danville in Montour County was ordered to serve 20 days to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail along with a year of probation for charges of flight to avoid apprehension and theft by unlawful taking. Police said that he entered the Kovalchick Scrap Yard at 4:44 in the morning on May 6th of 2023, but when police arrived he tried to flee. Judge Michael Clark paroled him immediately concerning the jail time.
Also sentenced yesterday was 45-year-old Candice Baird of Starford, who was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and of drug paraphernalia for an incident last July. Baird was ordered to serve a year of probation and to pay fines.
