Once again, smoke from wildfires north of the border will affect the atmosphere in Western Pennsylvania.
The fires in five provinces continue to burn and with winds shifting, some of that smoke has entered our area once again. Accuweather Meteorologist Brandon Buckingham said that the risk of the smoke affecting air quality will grow as the day goes on.
He says that the finer particulate matter could affect those with pre-existing breathing conditions, or the very young and very elderly. Those people are being asked to limit outdoor activities today as a precaution.
