The Pirates were able to keep pace with Kansas City last night, but the effort came up short as the Royals walked off the Bucs. Joe Block reports.
Nick Loftin was the one who hit the walk-off winner for Kansas City, and that certainly picked up the attention of Pirates manager Don Kelly.
Pirates Pitcher Mitch Keller said he’d like to have the two pitches back that lead to homers for the Royals.
Keller added that he felt good during a stretch where he retired 16 batters.
Bailey Falter will start for the Bucs as the three-game series wraps up tonight. He is 6-4 with a 3.69 ERA. Kansas City will send Kris Bubic. He is 7-6 with a 2.36 ERA. Airtime is 7:15 on WCCS. First Pitch is 7:40.
