The Homer City Area Business Association will host holiday festivities tonight, including the lighting of the borough Christmas tree.
Events are planned from 5:00 to 8:00 tonight at the Homer City Fire Hall and Field. A holiday bazaar will be held in the fire hall, and the Homer-Center Marching Band will lead a parade down Main Street at 6:00 PM that will welcome Santa Claus to the community. He will head over to the fire hall to hear from kids after the parade. The tree will be lit at 6:30 tonight, followed by the announcement of the Homer City citizen of the year.
The Fireman’s Eats Stand will be open for the evening and there will be plenty of fire pits as well to keep warm. The event is open to the public.
