Perry William Baird, 77, of Blairsville, PA, died on Sunday, November 30, 2025, in Beacon Ridge, Indiana, PA.
The son of Harry E. “Perry” and Cecelia D. (Krebs) Baird, he was born on November 21, 1948, in Bolivar, PA.
Perry graduated from Laurel Valley High School, Class of 1966. He worked as a psychiatric aide at Torrance State Hospital and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1488, Blairsville.
In his spare time, he played on many bowling leagues, loved going to the casino, and would make his famous chili for the people he loved. Perry is remembered for being an encouraging mentor and teacher.
Surviving are his daughters, Cristal Baird of Greensburg and Rebecca Baird of Bradenville; grandchildren, Stefan (Felecia) Stewart of Pittsburgh, Aayla Beck of Blairsville, and Novalle Gilbert of Greensburg; great grandchildren, Aurora Stewart, Roman Stewart, and Xavier Stewart; sisters, Shirley Burkett (Wayne) of Bolivar, Bridget Critchfield (Jim) of Latrobe, and Karen Shellhammer (Leonard) of Webster, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen (Rubino) Baird on May 16, 2005; and stepsons, Phillip Watkins and Timothy Watkins.
A private interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
