Indiana Borough’s 8th Street Corridor Project is on the agenda for tonight’s meeting of borough council.
The project, part of the 2030 comprehensive plan, is meant to create a physical connection between the IUP campus and downtown Indiana via 8th Street between Philadelphia and School Streets. The goal is to create a complete street with safe sidewalks and lighting. The resolution on tonight’s agenda will formally adopt the 8th Street Action Plan as a framework for future development of the area.
Also on the agenda is a resolution to authorize Berkheimer Tax Associates to bill Indiana Borough Residents on behalf of the Indiana County Municipal Emergency Management Agency to collect annual EMS Service Fees.
The meeting will be held tonight at 7:00 at the George E. Hood Municipal Building.
