The strong winds this weekend have kept firefighters extremely busy, so busy in fact that Indiana County 911 couldn’t keep up with them on the public information report. Dispatchers instead reported at 3 PM on Saturday “Numerous county-wide incidents occurred 03-13/03-14.”
There were three subsequent reports of utility lines down along with a couple of carbon monoxide alarm and automatic fire alarms.
Wind gusts across western Pennsylvania measured as high as 66 miles per hour on Saturday.
The extreme windy conditions have led to another wind advisory by the National Weather Service, in effect for wind gusts as high as 50 miles per hour from 9 AM today to 8 AM tomorrow.
