With the tremendous playoff runs of the IUP basketball teams and the United Lions in the PIAA, there is still more high-quality basketball being played by area youngsters.
Over the weekend, Indiana Area’s seventh grade girls took third place overall in the Pennsylvania Middle School Basketball Championship in State College. Competing in the Silver Bracket, the girls went 4-1, with their only loss being 34-31 defeat in overtime in the semifinals. The team is coached by Tony Stossel.
