Vince Gill is opening up about his decision to perform at the Trump Kennedy Center Honors in 2025 despite his feelings for President Donald Trump.
During a recent episode of the Nashville Now podcast, the musician was asked if he had to “think about saying yes” after being asked to sing at the 48th Kennedy Center Honors. Gill admitted that it “was a hard yes” however, he was focused on honoring his friend and musician George Strait, who was an award recipient at the time.
Gill said he and Strait have been friends for 43 years.
