The Pirates have announced that Konnor Griffin was promoted to the big league roster and will make his team debut on Friday during the home opener against Baltimore.
Griffin was the Pirates first-round pick in the 2024 draft and in 2025, he hit .333 across three levels and eventually joining the Altoona Curve at the double-A level. He was assigned to Triple-A Indianapolis at the start of the season and has hit .438 in five games with three doubles and five walks. Griffin is expected to take a spot in the starting lineup on Friday.
