The Penguins struggled to find their game on Saturday night as they opened the Stanley Cup playoffs with a loss to their cross-state rivals, the Philadelphia Flyers. Paul Steigerwald has the recap.
Forwards Blake Lizotte and Connor Dewar returned to the Penguins, Lizotte after missing the final fifteen games of the regular season and Dewar after missing the last four. Coach Dan Muse also chose to sit forward Justin Brazeau and instead use Elmer Soderblom. Kevin Hayes was another healthy scratch.
