District 6 has announced the baseball and softball playoff brackets, with plenty of action for Heritage Conference teams, starting tomorrow, with three teams involved in Class A baseball. Eleventh-seeded Purchase Line will visit number six Blacklick Valley. Seventh-seed Conemaugh Valley will welcome number ten Ferndale and number eight Portage hosts number nine Williamsburg.
Also in Class A, Homer-Center drew the fifth seed and will visit number four Saint Joseph’s on Monday. Northern Cambria is seeded second and will host the winner of the Conemaugh Valley/Ferndale game on Monday.
In Double-A, there are only six teams in the tournament. Number six United visits number three Westmont Hilltop on Friday.
In Triple-A baseball, eighth-seeded West Shamokin will host number nine Central Cambria tomorrow, with the winner to travel to top seed Richland on Monday.
Also on Monday, number five Marion Center travels to play number four Philipsburg-Osceola.
Brackets: Class A, Class AA, Class AAA
The softball brackets are loaded with Heritage Conference teams, with two Class A games tomorrow between conference rivals. Number eight Northern Cambria will host number nine Portage, with the winner to play at top seed Conemaugh Valley on Monday. Number seven United welcomes number ten Penns Manor to earn a trip to second seed Claysburg-Kimmel on Monday. Number five Homer-Center visits number four Juniata Valley on Monday and number three Purchase Line will play either Bishop McCort or Bishop Guilfoyle, who will play each other on Friday.
In Double-A, top seed West Shamokin won’t play until next Thursday, against either Mount Union or West Branch.
In triple-A, number eight Cambria Heights will play number nine Tyrone tomorrow, with the winner against number one Bedford on Monday.

The WPIAL has announced that 4A top seed Indiana’s game against number eight Knoch on Monday will be played at Gateway High School.
