Earlier today, the Indiana County Commissioners approved starting the process to add a solar and wind development amendment to the county’s Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance.
Josh Krug with the office of planning and development said that the amendments will deal with large-scale commercial solar and wind farms.
The amendment will soon be made available online, at libraries throughout the county, municipal offices and at the Planning and Development and Commissioners offices, and there will be a 45-day period for the public to examine it. There will also be a public hearing on the matter, but that has not been scheduled yet.
The commissioners also approved a change order for the Jimmy Stewart Airport Hangar and Parking Lot project, to install waterproofing membrane and a foundation protection sheet at a cost of $3,050.
