Chase Matthew is speaking out against his ex-bandmate, Carsen Richards, after his arrest over the weekend.
Richards was arrested on Saturday following the BBQ and Barrels event in Owensboro, Kentucky and is facing several charges, including second-degree sodomy and incest involving a person under 18. In a statement, Matthew said the situation has been “one of the most shocking and heartbreaking things” he’s experienced. He added “the reality is, you don’t always know what someone may be doing outside of your workplace, and nothing would’ve made me believe this was a possibility.”
The country star said Richards was immediately removed from his band and is no longer associated with him or his team.
