It is expected to be a quiet day at the polls for the primary election.
Many of the major state-wide races are already decided as Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro and Republican Stacy Garrity are running unopposed, as is Democrat Lt. Governor Austin Davis. On the Republican ticket, John Ventre is running against Jason Richey.
Congressional nominations are also uncontested, with incumbent Republican Guy Reschenthaler and Democrat nominee Alan Bradstock running unopposed in the 14th district, and Democrat Ray Bilger and Republican Glenn “GT” Thompson for the 15th district seat.
There are more uncontested races at the state house level, with Republican Jim Struzzi and Democrat Trajan Jones running for the 62nd district seat nominations, and Republican Brian Smith and Democrat Lisa Gourley running unopposed for the 66th district seat.
The only contested race in the county is for Republican State Committee, with James Zerfoss, Darlene Bracken and Kimberly McCullough running for the position. On the Democrat side, Ron Fairman is the only one on the ballot.
Polls close at 8 PM.
