Congratulations to Homer-Center’s Maggie Voyda for winning the PIAA Class AA discus gold medal at the championship meet at Shippensburg this weekend. Voyda’s winning toss traveled 138 feet, 10 inches, two feet longer than second-place finisher Alexis McRoberts of Canton High School. Voyda also finished eleventh in the shot put.
Penns Manor’s Brady Lewis finished second in the javelin, to Southern Columbia’s Ethan Reed. Lewis launched the javelin 198 feet, 9 inches. He also finished fifth in the shot put.
